Lake of Kalandra Final Boss is....

A mirror reflection of your character with mirror tier items.
-Can't create another character to counter skills, map will be locked to owner.
-drops 1 random mirror tier item in pieces, like those that drop in harbinger maps.

What will your build be?

Trapper or Totem comes to mind... :D

Have always liked the idea of having to fight your doppelgänger, piloted by someone at least reasonably competent. But PVP scaling in PoE is crude and still does not blunt the explosive damage spikes the average player is capable of. Maybe giving each combatant a dynamic EHP pool based on percentages, so that matches last about 90 seconds, à la Mortal Kombat or SF2, to showcase actual manual dexterity risk management.

I've said it before, though. We already have a forlorn project scorned by all, waiting for TLC.

Spice up HOGM: 1-2% chance to drop one mirrored item, as submitted by one of the Grandmasters, complete with legacy rolls, stats, etc.

Including clusters, watcher's eyes, legacy hat enchants, op quality skill gems, and the like.

Obviously, things like Vaal Immortal Call and Gluttony of Elements (very old gem functionality that's been hardcoded into the characters after the gems themselves got retconned) will be less than exciting drops to get, since outside of HOGM and $1500, they won't work properly.

But dropping Sir_Janusz's alt quality Vaal Lightning Skillset that lets him abuse quantum mechanics in ways that would drive Richard Feynmann to drink, might be worth the price of admission.

At the VERY least, it might drop additional HOGM-relevant items at a higher frequency, unrelated to whose vanity sprites you see that run:

--a 21/23 Block Chance Reduction Support
--A card that redeems in stacks of 8 to give you The Immortal ("The Contender")
--You can actually go along and pick up the pets of HOGM characters you've bagged. More generally, free MTX.
--A T-shirt that says "Fight Club" and has a picture of the HOGM map item for completing 1000 HOGMS.

Cool idea, terrible to implement.
