How Ritual and Blight restrict build choices

Without a top-tier build a ritual encounter is difficult with a squishy build and a blight encounter requires some clear speed, if tower positions are bad.

With the atlas passives you actually have alot more access to all the league content, that has been released over time. But these encounters can make it difficult even in early game. A part of me feels like i'm just complaining, but..how exactly are you supposed to benefit from customization options if you are forced to narrow down your choices every league ?

And i even avoided the things, that hit alot harder, namely Metamorph, rogues and syndicate atlas passives.

I think the idea is that you pick points for the encounters you can do with your character and avoid the things that is tough for your character. Then you can make a second character that specialises in the things the previous character couldn't do. Store up 1000 scarabs/prerolled sextants for those encounters then swap atlas build and play the second character.

That is the alternative to making a metabuild that can allround clear everything the game has to offer. While it might not seem optimal, having to make multiple characters, that is the reality if you want the game to even have a little bit of aspirational content.

Ritual however should not really be a problem on any character. So if your build is too squishy for those then you might have to reconsider your build and add some defensive layers. Meta-build is in no way needed for that.

Blight and even most blighted maps should be doable on a non meta character. Uber blight not so much.
