Latency Spikes in PoE

I have the same issues (lag in some instances) and I had that since the last expansion. I just started playing again today and I suddenly remembered that it was the reason I stopped playing the last time around (couldnt find a way to fix that). Between that time and now I have reinstalled the Game at least once. All other Games are fine and Im using a cable with fairly fast connection.

Got the same problems for 3 leagues now.
Playing is just a pain. All other games work fine.

Latency spikes to 15.000 and then down. Sometimes i DC.

Cable Connection
Fast and good internet.

After doing the following the Issue (seems) now to be fixed for me: I unblocked the PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe and PathOfExileSteam.exe in my Windows Firewall and I allowed the same files and the main folder in my Antivirus.

I never had to do this in the past so I didnt even consider it as a Solution. This may not work for you because Im not sure we are having the same Issue. I hope this helps.

Having the same problem
Every minute or so latency skyrockets to 1000+for a few seconds. Enough for me to die.
With me it happens anywhere, maps, hideout, cities...
Tried playing other games and the problem only exists in poe.
Tried everything I found on the internet and nothing solves it
On the verge of quiting the game...

I have same disaster issue. (DX/Vulkan. Any)

Latency about 80-5000ms. (if wait a lot of time standing in instance map, about 5-10 minutes, latency will become a normal values below 80ms).

Huge amount of game crashes(with no errors) while entering any instance. (If choose a Windows 7 capability it will increase loading time of instance but minimize crashes count). Three days i tried to complete acts.

Performance became much worse at all. Sad and unplayable.

Windows 10 1809 Updated
1. CPU: i5 4670K 3.8GHz
2. Mother Board: MSI Z97-GAMING 3
3. SSD: A-DATA 512 MB NVM-E
4. GPU: GTX970
All drivers updated

Internet connection: Cable. 100Mb. PPPoE.
