Skill cost rage is a stupid design.

They broke chainbreaker no biggie use a old school jewel. Frankly it's better anyway...Your DPS is "on" all-the-time.

Those of you who play standard should be used to "adjusting" your builds by now... after all, GGG goes wild every patch.

Sounds like you just use a blue pearl amulet with mana regen suffix and think you can get away with that?

With fertile catalyst on rings with mana regen mod and a blue pearl amulet with mana regen mod you reach 300% which should be plenty for builds that are supposed to use this keystone e.g. slow hitting builds with low cost support gem multipliers.

Clearly the days where you get away with 100% mana regen are over. Should adapt to it.

Screw mana regen. Thats for wizards plus no regen maps suck. I only do mana on hit or zero mana. But your point is valid ...more than one way to skin a cat.

Found the issue!

Playing one character/build is a big mistake, especially if they rely on a specific mechanic likely to be nerfed or changed. The game is designed to force players to adapt and branch out, even running several characters per league (I usually do 3-4 and have friends who approach 10).

Best to embrace this rather than fight it. Give up on chainbreaker; you’ll be happier and have more fun.

You don't understand. It's a broken mechanic now. It's unplayable. 500% mana regen is UNREASONABLE.

Stop it.

I'm sorry my playstyle is something you're allergic to. I didn't know playing one character was against the rules.

I have nothing against your playstyle; this has absolutely nothing to do with me. GGG has something against it, though. The problem you’ve run into indicates that your playstyle conflicts with the game’s 3-month rebalance timer.

I apologize for using the imperative tense in my last post, telling you to give up on a mechanic. You can and will do what you want. Rather, I’m just saying you will continue to run into problems trying to make one character (relying on one Keystone) work league after league through sometimes drastic balance changes. You’re causing a lot of issues for yourself playing that way.

GGG wants you to reroll. My advice is simply to go with the flow and not fight it.

If you’re able to fix your character and get it working, that’s great! I just think a change in playstyle/goals can help avoid the issue in the future. Up to you.

I’m not trying to go after you personally at all, by the way. I’ve noticed a lot of players like to stick to one build every league, league after league, and patch notes frequently cause them a lot of trouble because GGG’s trying to force them to stop doing that.

This change to CB was remarkable in that it completely BRICKED the mechanic. It's absolutely unplayable to >99% of CB builds.
I will not spend time "adapting" because of a stupid development error that will probably be fixed soon.

I would indeed prefer if they fixed it! I can’t stand nonfunctional mechanics taking up space in this game, or over-nerfs in general.

Unfortunately, the game’s history has made me cynical. Many totally useless, broken, bad options exist in the game at any given time, and can take years to fix. Often numerical changes (which wouldn’t take much dev time) are never pursued; instead we have to wait for labor-intensive “reworks” that can even include expensive new graphics. This philosophy keeps us waiting for fixes, or for the later steps of what were originally intended to be multi-step balance revamps.

Maybe Chainbreaker will be fixed next league, but history has taught us it could just sit as-is for quite a while longer as GGG focuses on other stuff.

Anyway, my comments to you are fueled by that cynicism, not an attack on how you like to play.

So... simple fix:
Why can't they make it ignore the "gem" mana multiplier? Cause it's rage and it's ... well different mechanic - as in not mana?
3 rage / skill use (fixed, not modifiable) makes for a usable Keystone, can't spam without very heavy investment in mana regen (again, investment = result).
