Ritual fails to complete in Pit with Elder influence

Very specific bug interaction, I believe. Some of the monster from the ritual are shut out from the area by the gates in the Pit Map. I am uncertain as to whether or not the Elder's influence, removing the boss and attempting to open a portal, is a part of the interaction causing the bug.
