elder bug , no drop

i died with elder together,and when i get back to the map.
the elder was gone and no drop

yes this is not a bug and per game design of GGG (confirmed several times).
If you die in a boss fight, you have to STAY in the map and don't do anything until the boss is dead because else you don't get any drops.

So what happend is that the boss died while you were in town = no drop.
