POE not responding on steam

I wanted to equip an item and my game just froze and i got the not responding error.That's not the problem,the problem is that i cant even end the task from task manager or stop the game from steam.It just remain frozen until i shut down my pc.This is like the second time this happend in 1 week random without a reason.

I have this problem too, twice just today. I usually need a hard reset, as the shutdown command doesn't complete.

I was starting to wonder if I have an intermittent hardware fault, but with no error messages, and another player having the same problem, probably not.
