People spamming pathofexile trade and Poe.Trade with bogus trades

Is there something that can be done about idiots that spam 50+ listings of an item (today it was Watchers Eye) and listing them for 1 jewellers or 1 fusing when we all know they are 10c+.

Sat there trying to see if he was serious, only for him to go AFK never replying to any chat? His Ign: is [Removed by Support] and he had 57 watchers eyes all listed for stupid prices but never selling any.

Its so hard to genuinely try to buy things when someone is spamming so hard.

Why would someone do this, is it some sick game? If so, it needs to be sorted.

Bin playing PoE for 8+ years now and most of community is real decent.

Anyone else finding this issue too?

I just put in a minimum sale price in the filter and ignore all the lowballs. Not worth spending any time worrying about, imo.

Official trade site has an ignore function.

So sad to have to do this for your kicks, when the game itself and the community as a whole is excellent...

They do that so their trade appears at the top of the list. Won't sell for that low and will most likely ignore your message or just hit you with the "give me an offer". Best you can do is click the ignore player button next to the trade so you won't see their listings anymore. Tedious but right now it's your best bet.

it is pretty annoying. outside of that, thats basically all it is.

nothing should happen to the players in general for doing such things, but the system itself may want to try to adapt and change so these things can't be abused.

how can that be done? i have no ideas. but it definitely would be more helpful to think of solutions instead of whine about the problem.

Very old technique. They set up whoops for items they list for nothing and catch noobs who dont know market values. Pull everything, relist at market value. I am a bit surprized hes doing it watchers since people that can get watchers usually have some grasp of the game...but maybe not if they play necro..tabula and boss ready.. lol.

np. havent used poe.trade in leagues, and, if they havent really ramped up their tech, official trade site is way, WAY better anyways.

its not only that. its also people thinking they are smart to list (sometimes crazy expensive) stuff for 1 perandus coin to appear first in the listings, and when you whipser them they tell you their "real" price. although i guess (and hope lol) all people that could really afford these items just scroll past these listings or ignore them cause they realize/know they are fake.

It is sadly fact of the matter that the big braggers on this forum make mules just to list fake prices and then use bot to send message to noobs that list for this fake price.
So many people do that that you get 8messages before it even appears at official poe trade for any semi-wanted item.


I do not really have huge issue with the fake price part, as any of you could potentially do that and maybe beat this faker by sniping his "victims" for yourself. But botting part on other side... that is against rules and is not fair competition in any way.

I would not say it is quite undetectable, GGG could compare the listing time with message time and if it is something unrealistic even with good ping then just ban the user for 30minutes.

And just flat out flag him as bot after 3 times they do that... for that is what they are anyway.

Before you even try to give me some sob story about how your brain got connected directly to router at age of 7 and now you are the fastest copy-paster for poe trade alive and that is how you message me before my trade appears at any of the trading pages pls no one eats that poop anymore.
