" While it's certainly shocking, the reason for it is probably even more worthy of a much-belated discussion. It wasn't pulled because it's particularly bad in and of itself. It was pulled because CDPR promised people refunds before consulting Sony, and lo and behold, Sony has no existing infrastructure or procedure to handle refunds on the Playstation store because: " https://www.theverge.com/2020/12/16/22178872/cyberpunk-2077-refund-sony-ps4-ps5-playstation-issue And 'faulty' sure is a nice broad concept when it comes to games that are designed to be patched on day one...day two...day ten... So the poor fucks at Sony spent days behind the scenes cursing CDPR ten ways to Sunday as they scrambled to respond to CDPR's claim. Some gamers probably assumed that the PSN is just like Steam, with a robust refund system. Nope. I suspect this goes back to the notion that Japanese are far more likely to sell something second-hand than seek a refund unless it's seriously defective. But that's just a suspicion; fact is, PSN had no refund system and still has no proper refund system. So they pulled the game not for QA's sake, but so that they wouldn't have to process any more refunds going forward, knowing CDPR weren't going to miraculously fix their afterthought ps4 version in a hurry. In a roundabout way it's still about QA, but the driving motivation was that they simply aren't equipped to handle the fallout...so they just removed the bomb instead. That pun is not entirely warranted; CP2077 is a huge hit on PC, which like or not is the platform the game was made for. That said: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-12-15/cd-projekt-founders-lose-1-billion-as-game-bugs-hurt-reputation The url says it all. I am not sure CDPR are going to recover from this. Financially, maybe. But their reputation beyond the 'PC masterrace' is in shreds. As for those selfish gamers who think 'PC masterrace' isn't used largely sardonically, a billion dollars' loss due to a console fuck-up should be a bit of a reality check. Console releases matter. They matter a lot. If I like a game, it'll either be amazing later or awful forever. There's no in-between.
I am Path of Exile's biggest whale. Period. |

Looking back they should not have delayed the league , considering how mediocre CP is.
This new approach by GGG will make them look like cowards that flee when any hyped games comes on the horizon. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore
"A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. She hands you a rusty-looking device called the Blood Crucible and urges you to implant it into your body." Only usable with Ethanol Flasks |

" nobody said they're still developing 3.13, but they did revise their schedule. unless you think 3.13 will only last like 5 weeks instead of the normal 13 3.13 was supposed to be dropped today. dec 18th. meaning it would last until Feb 19th and then 3.14 would be Feb 26th. do you think they will keep their schedule and will still drop 3.14 Feb 26th??? keep in mind, 3.13 is now being released on Jan 15th or do you now see that their schedule has been revised Last edited by xMustard#3403 on Dec 18, 2020, 6:06:48 PM

"They clearly have no interest in using the extra time to polish their leagues. |

" doesn't matter. it still changed their schedule |

This year has been very bad, can't even enjoy 3.13 for chrismas.
Delaying a league just because another games is released, it's ridiculous. Whatever cyberpunk been the GOTY or not. GGG was a part of the hype around cyberpunk, encourage people to buy it. I hope they delay poe for Diablo 4 too. Last edited by Deonbekende#4380 on Dec 19, 2020, 2:19:43 AM

I dont know if you people dont understand or cant understand, but the reason for delay is money. A lot of people have bought CP2077 and they would not spend that money on PoE.
GGG has more data then us and they probably know that they would make more money in January then December when CP2077 was released. The next delay is not gonna happened because of CP2077 patch. People have already spend money on it. As for CP2077 the game is perfect. I have spend around 35hrs and have done only 2 main quests. The game has exceed my expectation. I didnt experience any game braking bugs. All i saw from roaming though town was some glitches and stupid AI. You guys just expected too much from the game. But never the less that i dont have problems with the game, CDPR dont deserve and sympathy, they need to be called out and trash upon for releasing the game in this state on PS4 and XBoX one. That was unacceptably. You have only one configuration on console so they know that the game dont run on them. Also you have to backslash the team in sony/microsoft that revise the games before they release it on the store, because they gave the CDPR green light for putting unfinished game up there. TLDR: with this release CDPR has put money before gamers, they become one with EA, Activision, Activision/Blizzard, Bethesda that dont care what they release. I know I would be pissed as heck if the game would not work fine and i paid for it. |

"People keep running around with the idea that they're somehow correcting their development process when this is false and people are just setting themselves up for disappointment. I don't care that it threw off their schedule by a month. |

" They will struggle, that's for sure. They fucked up on all the areas where they have thrived before; consumer relations, quality of products and transparency. Now, sure - they can fix their game and they can band aid in several ways, be that free DLC or whatever. But the biggest question still remains; can they even make this game work on last gen consoles? Is it even doable? If not, they are truly fucked. That said, I'm enjoying the hell out of the game on PC. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
