Is 3.13 realy delayed only because Cyberpunk ?

During the month of delay before release, we will start work on the 3.14 expansion.

So the delay isn't about polishing 3.13 and avoid doing the same mistake you did with 3.12 ? I have no problem waiting for this kind of reason, but if it is seriously delaying because of the release of other games is ... wtf.


They are a lot of games outside of POE, do you delay your game everytime other games are released ? I don't think so, cause it will be silly.


Cyberpunk is a 30 hours games, 1 Week delay was enough ... so frustrating to have free time in december and can't play POE new league.

You could play Flashback.

They also rightfully fear launching a new league and then giving everyone time off for the holidays. Gone are the days where they can expect things to work right out of the box.

You know they can polish 3.13 and test it while working on 3.14, right? You understand that they don't need the whole company just to test the games, right?

According to who? Even reviews that indicated most side quests were done finished out at around 40ish hours.

Hell even at 100 hours (which is a pipedream), that's still not very long in the grand scheme.

A lof of people playing 2-4 hours per day (having standard work), so this is still a lot and could easily interfere with the league which starts on 15 December.

I guess GGG thinks about those people too.

If you were a small independent movie studio, would you release your niche film at the same time the next Avengers block buster was hitting the screens?

Sure, the passionate guys in the forums for that niche film are still keen to see it, but for all the casuals out there looking for some fun, they may never even hear about your film due to the massive marketing train and that's a problem. A problem that can easily be avoided by moving out of the way and hitting a time that is likely to be more beneficial to your product.

As repeated above, Chris already posted in detail on this and people can believe him or not. Fundamentally, most consumers are self-centred ignorant sheep so they are not well placed to make an appropriate business decision on behalf of a company.
