Alternate Quality 3 Magma Orb

Hi guys, some one tryed this quality, how it works, i mean.

"10% chance to Detonate for Double Damage instead of Chaining"

This is PER CHAIN? in this case, each time the orb chain has 10% to instead next chian he explode dealing double damage!? if is this, that double damage is the actual dmg of that chian or multiply chains.. idk.. Another thing, is for individual orbs, or per cast at all?

From what I read, it means it won't chain when that happens. Can be a bad thing.
well , wont chain at very first only ? or can be maybe chain 2 times , than explode sometimes..
has anyone tried testing this? I'm curious to see how it interacts with Ricochet.

If it explodes before chaining is it as if it had zero chains or max chains?
Each time it deals damage to an enemy, it will roll to either chain or do double the damage it would've dealt. If it rolls to keep chaining, everything goes like normal. If it rolls to deal double damage, it doubles the damage the enemy would've taken, and the projectile "dies" there, no longer chaining or existing.

This is likely going to roll on each hit. This doesn't strike me as an effect like crit, which does roll on each cast before it hits anything. It may also roll on each "bounce" instead of any hit, and could detonate without even hitting anything. I would need to play it to test that part, but I can't think of many times GGG gives bonuses like this that could just needlessly waste itself. I'd wager it's rolled on hit.
It rolls the chance each time it would "chain" (bounce), and if it happens, that AoE deals double damage and the projectile explodes and thus no longer exists.
