[unpopular] Harvest league looks fixed and its actually cool.
People were not bored with Delirium, Metamorph or any other league, they were ANNOYED by its implementation. Harvest is working as intended, fixed and optimized on week 2 like no other league before,...and losing thousands of players every day. I think it's not actually just Harvest. It's the trend of Nerfs in POE. Delirium skipped that with clusters and drops, previous leagues also skipped nerfs here and there. In Harvest GGG has eventually succeeded. Players want rewards, not frustration. GGG has boasted about POE being a HC, not Fortnite, Diablo like, childish, casual game. So much so, that they have nerfed anything on surface that seemed to make the game a bit easier. That whole concept has a marketing price to be paid.

Ok please harvest is losing players twice as fast than the average league.
![]() You would think a league that benefits from corona virus would do well but nope. This is a crafting league that lets you make some of the best gear ever but the mapping is literally a first generation league experience (aka you're basically playing standard). It's funny how chris correctly deduced that leagues like onslaught, anarchy, etc would be underwhelming in 2020 because they're no longer engaging enough for modern standards. Then they release harvest. |

I haven't gotten a single Harvest craft that I could use for my gear since early acts. I mostly just use the crafts to alch my maps or 5-link certain uniques to sell them for more money.
T2/T3 seeds also didn't yield much. Changing sacrifice fragments, how useful... Also, it seems to me the drop rate is uneven between the seed types. I always have tons of blue and yellow but I'm struggling to get enough purple to feed my T2/T3 fields. All in all, the league content has been really disappointing so far. |

" Yeah kinda. Also, this league brings more and more nerfs, no great buffs or great unique items to players build around. The whole thing just looks dead after 2 weeks-in. The craft system is kinda cool for levelling and to help make your gear, but once you have it, you're done with the harvest. Andddd the new patch doesnt bring any buff to old skills or new mechanics. Just some shit changes to 2H weapon (who cares? maybe alkaizer) and terrible brand changes. Would be better to keep brand as it was. Even with archmage. ATleast we would have anything strong to play. Warcrys buff? lmao rly.. fuck off. Path of Exile right now just looks very boring, hard and frustrating to play. Specially for HC players like me. If you are NOT ziz, raiz or stellmage, if you DO NOT pay your bills playing PoE in HC, then you're probably done or almost done with the league already. HC top100 players are 100% spellslinger VD and ball lightning sabo players. 95% of top players are necros or saboteur playing EXACTLY the same build. God that's so bad and boring. The "balance" its gone. Actually, we never had... well, honestly, 2 weeks in the league and I am pretty much done too. Going to my last character, trying something, eventually i will suck and die in a red map and then waiting next league. I created this thread because the last patch fixed a lot of things of harvest content. But still, the league is bad. half of my guild are back to dota and LoL. Also, off talking about league content, the patch was also terrible. All changes was bad, nerfs and nerfs, dead brands, dead archmage, dead everything and nerf hammer just hit toooo hard to the point where there is nothing interesting or very strong to play. It seems every skill just sucks and no I am not playing VD spellslinger soooo waiting next league,. I really like the crafting. The gardening could be done better.
But im fine with it. For me, its more fun and motivating like the three leagues before. Im playing ssf and its so nice for it. Many ppl are bored, "there is nothing new" etc. Yeah, when you play the game for life you will get bored. There is sooo much to do. Dont like harvest? Go delve, betrayal, maps, etc....no game has so much to do. In my opinion, we dont need more crazy mechanics. I would concentrate to make the game better as its is. Where do we want to go? More mechanics every leaque? Thats nonsense in my opinion. New players are already overwhelmed with the content and most quit the game early or even dont touch it because of that. I enjoy the new warcrys and playing a 2h build. I like it and its very good. Yes, no zoom zoom but I play what I want and not what I see from racers/streamers. Nice crafting, not too much loot (yes I hate to much), not overloaded conent where you cant see shit. Who the heck forced ppl to play VD slinger? Are you all racing to 100? I was hyped for this league to start (even knowing there was going to be 0 extra pack size when mapping...) until I see what they do with the garden in the very first seed cache I clicked on. Classic GGG:
-Bad layout of garden. Check. -Overly annoying setup. Check. -Absurd limits like wire distances, wire limits per pylon, lifeforce storage... Check. -Double, triple RNG layers. Of course checked! -Bugs that are not solved until 3 weeks in at best. Checking as we speak. -Same old challenges copypasted from one league to another. Oh boy check. -Beeing forced to stop every map in which your seeds happen to be fully grown because they have better outcome if you do them in maps. Checked. -Rippy sudden spawn of monsters with their classic BS OHKO's. Check. -A boss gated behind tons of grinding. They love this. Also checked. -Something that's useful from the start of the league but you actually need to put a lot of grind aswell in order to get it(horticraft stations). Check. -Almost everything nerfed or unfun to play except maybe a couple of things?. This was never more checked than this league. And not related to the league but nonetheless equally annoying is the new Atlas + conquerors and the nerfed to the ground useful unique map drops (or encroaching darkness...) Yeah, I'm not very hooked into the game right now. |

While I still don't like the mechanic. I am enjoying the crafting part of the mechanic, and I've only been doing T1 seeds.
Finally, I can make decent gear without having to spam and run out of currency which I then have to buy through trade or farm them. Definitely makes me want to play more, knowing I have a better chance of making some decent gear for myself. |

Congrats imLuCaSsS, you are getting in lockstep (not the server/client DL) with what GGG is hoping to achieve with all players. That is, to get you into the repetitive cycle of rinse and repeat for each and every challenge league mechanic, and because many (most) humans find comfort in repetitive tasks, get you to play longer thus giving them a longer time to entice you to buy something. The trick for GGG is to not appear to players that they are just another dealer of addiction.
