Wave of Conviction curse on hit not working when using arcanist brand

I have gone into multiple maps and tested. None of the mobs had
curse symbol shown above the head. It may be that the curse is being applied and it is a visual bug, but as of now I believe it is a bug and that my curse is not being applied like it says in the skill description.
