6th class & claws vs daggers

Hey guys,

I'm looking at the passive skill tree here and I've looked at building some builds based around both dual daggers and claws and from what I can see I am unable to make the claw builds competitive with the dagger based builds.

One quick comparison between builds both around the 82 point mark shows that the claw build had an advantage of 20 dex along with 12% attack speed and 16% accuracy and 3% life leach.

The dagger build had an advantage of 20 Int, 84% critical chance, 96% critical strike multiplier, 36% increased damage and a poison on hit effect.

In other aspects (evasion/dodge chance etc) the builds cancelled each other out.


Have any of you guys tried messing around with the 6th class' starting point with regards to daggers/claws at all? I can't help but feel that the claws need some loving.
I see the dif being two things.

Claw build has a 3 passives in a row that grand +2% +2% +2% life steal on hit physical.

Daggers does not have that, but has the poison on hit.


Because of this I would build daggers as a mage assassin and claws as a physical assassin.

For daggers I would focus on energy sheild, grab the 2% mana on physical damage and build something like this where you would basically flicker strike all day long with the 2% mana on physical and rely on an energy sheild.

Something losely based on this could be viable for claws where you focus on almost being an evasion tank with heavy live drain abilities..

I think the way passives work will change to make physical dps more viable.
