You must be new to Reddit. They complain about a lot of things, including leagues. It's only on these forums that some people seem to be under the impression that Reddit are just giant suckups to GGG.

As for why, it's likely an extrapolation borne of jealousy - since GGG seems to respond to Reddit more, it must be because Reddit licks their boots and strokes their egos. Right?!...

Like there isn't constant complaining about every league ever on reddit.

Since post power/speed creep PoE if players can't steamroll all content I always thought they would come to the forums or subReddit PoE to complain that they can't do that. Usually the PoE fanboys would rather post on Reddit as their comments are more likely to be seen by Chris and company.

But GGG is on a serious player smack down path this league and Delirium is designed to do that. I have always found it super strange that a game company operating on a free-to-play business model would go to such drastic lengths to make playing PoE "not fun" with so much one-shotting of builds with < 5000 hp. It makes no sense to me that GGG wants to brand PoE as so super hardcore to the point of biting the hand that feeds them. But just ramping up the damage numbers isn't the right way to make PoE hardcore, it just pisses off the 98% and results in "to hell with buying mtx if that's how GGG treats me. I quit this f'n shit until next league" and quite likely could lose players permanently. I know Chris has always thought that too many players pushed a build to 100 too fast every league and would keep doubling the 90 to 100 levels xp and monster damage each and every league until that stopped but damn it GGG, enough is enough already. There's a breaking point of no return for every player and you (GGG) have passed that point of no return for many.
