Severe performance dip with new Delirium update
Hi, I was playing PoE on my notebook (i5-5200U, 10GB, dedicated nVidia 930M) just last week with no real issues, some settings tweaks but otherwise quite playable.
With the last update, though, even at minimal settings and half the resolution I used to play, GPU is stuck at 100% and crossing a delirium "gate" almost always means perma-stutter until my character dies. Anyone else experiencing this on marginal systems? I was wondering if there is a chance a future patch can resolve this issue, perhaps it is a bug on the team's radar or optimization issue? Thank you in advance Last bumped on Jun 8, 2020, 2:30:34 PM

Getting insane fps drops, almost freezing for a few seconds around big packs or aoe action. The fog itself runs smooth 50+ fps
but monsters and actions seem to be the issue. i5-3350 - 3.10ghz, 8gb ram Gtx 970 ![]() "Players can now smack around players who are having trouble very early on." -Bex Last edited by Elemenz#6466 on Mar 14, 2020, 11:21:18 AM

I got about 160fps, but after the update i'm getting severe stuttering fps drops, from 160 to 30-40, sometimes the game freezes too.

I have same issue, fps is fluctuating wildly since after Delirium patch. Usually happens while in town when when there are dozens of players with effects enabled but it also happens out in the world quite often.
core i5-9600K 16gb ram RTX 2070 Windows 10 on SSD, Game on SSD. 1440p with G-sync enabled (I'm not even sure if that is working anymore) The performance was butter smooth in Metamorph with similar PC setup so it's clearly a PoE or Nvidia driver issue. I've updated my drivers to newest ones available though. PoE is running with max settings with no anti-aliasing (no V-sync or FPS limit, no dynamic resolution). Stutter happens in both Fullscreen and Fullscreen Windowed modes. I even tried the game both Standalone and Steam version and they are both having the same issue. |

" Same. I played a bit in metamorph, and in blight and had zero issues. I cap my fps at 144, and I get constant frame drops down to 30 or 40 myself. Micro freezes. Especially bad with the skill I chose(Pestilence strike). I've tried eveyrthing online; I even downscaled my resolution to 1080p from 1440p and it doesnt help it. GPU running full bore, CPU too, even at 1080p locked 144. And if I uncheck, it can go up into the 200+. I dont have a great PC, but I mean its almost unplayable with Pestilence strike on some tilesets, and I just updated Drivers and I think it actually made it worse. I think my performance got worse with the latest nvidia drivers. Ryzen 2600, 970gtx, 16gb ram, SSD. I played with much higher settings with much better framerate in blight/meta. Even things that dont have the new mechanic in it, like Delve, runs terrible right now. Tons of stuttering. Its crazy I was partying in Blight with a chain/fork Ice Shot spamming friend and had no issues. But I cant even go into like a Jungle map solo right now. Just freezes up till I die. Man, I'm having literally the same problem. I was playing really smooth on metamorph till the last days. Now with Delirium everytime I hit a pack fps go down from 60 to 0-15. It's unplayable.

Yea, pretty much unplayable, game freeze almost 2 or 3 sec on each delirium. Always played with 100+ fps until now

I'm having the same problem, game is basically unplayable. Are people having the same issues in standard or just Delirium?
Would really appreciate some GGG input on this. |

Same issue for me
Up until friday march 13th I played PoE without any lag-related issues. Since release of Delirium, my screen freezes at every Delirium portal entry, and also during the Delirium phase. The game is almost unplayable and I end up quitting the game. It has also started to lag more in general; it is not only related to the Delirium encounter. Please GGG address this! |
