Old MTX available to buy

Hi GGG,

I'm not sure if I am the only one feeling this way, but I was kinda wondering what it would take to get old supporter packs back, so we can still support you by buying them or having the contents of those supporter packs piece mealed out to buy things from them individually? I know that there are leagues I wasn't playing the game, but missed out on some of your sweet supporter packs from the past. I know there might be a thought process that it makes it special for those people that bought it during those times. I think that is silly for someone who enjoys this game I should be able to access your entire MTX database and buy them all eventually, maybe it would mean I don't get the slick supporter icon during that league, but really I don't care so much about that, as much as, having the sweet looking MTXs or portals or whatever that has gone from your store. There has to be tons of people that feel the same way I do. Imagine the money you can bring in because of it.

No.

Nononononono.

NO.

GGG gave their word they were exclusive and it would cause an incredible amount of bad will if GGG did that.

I always go back to this statement:
I didn't buy a kiwi. I seriously regret it, because I would love to have one. I do not want GGG to ever offer me the chance to buy one.

Why deprive yourself the option? Seems like you don't like the idea of having options where I would like there to be everything available. I would spend the money if they were there. I enjoy this game that much, so I would like to be able to consume as much of it I can. From a business stand point exclusivity does nothing for their bottom line, sell a few of thing then they discontinue it. If they leave it there people can save up to get the thing they want without the limited time offer being subject.
From a business standpoint it 100% DOES do shit to their bottom line.

Limited Time Only sales happen in plenty of industries. If those companies suddenly go back on their word and re-release these exclusive items, people LOSE FAITH IN THE COMPANY (and the company gets sued).

I'll give an example that im personally invested in: Magic The Gathering.

15? years ago, MTG made a list that said "These old cards will never be reprinted in non premium, tournament playable form". Now, about 7 years ago, they started dipping their toes into reprints and skirting the line. They were re-printing a select few of these cards in PREMIUM (shiny, foil, holographic, call it whatever) forms. People lost confidence in the value of their objects, because there was a huge scare that this would extend to the super valuable cards. Also, Wizards of the Coast got SUED, and had to revise their stated policy.

I, personally, HATE that promise. I would love to have new printings of Dual lands and Moxen (Even though i own some old ones that are worth $400 usd each). New ones would ABSOLUTELY destroy the value of the cards i have.

Now, for digital objects, there obviously isnt any resale potential. But even things like "Kickstarter Exclusive" objects, being re-released to the general public, would generate tons of ill will towards the company AND potential lawsuits. And that's what supporter packs are : we are funding the company, and receiving digital goods to show that we supported during X time period. They are exclusive to those packages.

Seems like a 1-dimensional look at business if you ask me...

Some companies are big enough and have a reputation where their integrity doesn't matter, but GGG seems the opposite to me.

Limited time purchases should remain limited if that was the promise.

Just my opinion, though.
So in this case you are stating that GGG at some point made it a promise to its customer base, that these digital goods would never be sold again? When? Where's the proof? At the end of it, baring that information...I would like the option to buy whatever I want that they produce. It is one thing if the company promised, which in mind is a bad thing to do in the first place. Because it doesn't allow them to re-release anything that has gone to the wayside, the only thing it really should be gated under is price point. Your Magic the Gathering cards are safe, btw. Just because they re-release something doesn't mean collector's won't want the originals. As far as, suing a company over their game is a sad state of the times, it is a game we are talking about after all.

No need to be angry. You need to understand that those old stuffs were advertized as something that will never return to the shop.
One thing I like about GGG is that they keep their word. Don't get me wrong, I still want a decapitation head mtx and some kiwis but their real value is about being unique.
There are many different mtx which you can choose from so in the end it's not a big deal that you miss a few ones.

Also you don't understand MTG if you can say a reprint does nothing to old cards. It hurts it's value because they are not one of a kind anymore and the only problem with this is that they said no reprint ever.

They made that promise right at the very start of selling Supporter Packs and we're being reminded every time a series is about to leave the store:

Some early examples:

selling the magnus "i blast your ass" thornstoneWhatever has been such a blast that they made a series of new hats in the same style.

i quite liked it and got several of the 2 versions of the witch hats, just in case cause i missed the original one.
