Elder Influence into Shaper Realm 4 Uber Elder

Hi Guys, anyone help me out, I trying to get elder influence into Shaper Realm, proceed to kill the guardian (Phoenix) next to elder influence map t15 (Canyon Map), but on doing this the elder / shaper influence moves away... happened 3 x now. Am I doing something wrong? Usually this would make Phoenix become elder influence then proceed to mino etc to spawn UE...
