Error: Received HTTP 403 while downloading (Whilst downloading the full game)

I am constantly receiving this 403 error. It occurs very early on but always on a random amount of completion (I have seen it DL 110KB and several values around 300KB of the game).
This is the specific error message: Error: Received HTTP 403 while downloading http://patch10.pathofexile.com:8095/patch/0.9.8.9/Metadata/Particles/monster_effects/rare_explode/fire/fire_mid.pet After receiving this, the DL just exits and has to start again from 0%. Running Windows 7 and Firefox. EDIT: Pardon, it wasn't 110KB it was 1.10KB and likewise with the 300 values actually being 3.something KB. I have tried to run the Pack Check to no avail. I have a similar issue, my error message is:

i have same problem, in 97.43% of downloading a 8.57 mb file error code 403 occurs and download stops.
is there any solution? also i tried PackCheck.exe and still no luck.  |

" Rather than bumping an old post, you should create your own so it can be handled independently without causing huge long threads. It's easier to track/manage. As for your problem, did you try my suggestion in the post above yours and patch over VPN? |

eventually problem solved by repeating packcheck and vpn! thanks :D

how do you download it over a VPN? im not too computer literate, i cant download this game, ive tried at least ten times so far, getting same error as everyone else
