Cyclone - CwC - Firestorm Idea | Please Help

Hey,

i was looking for a fun Build for Mapping and since i found no interesting CoC Build for me, i thought about something around Cast while Channeling. By the Way i am playing SSF.
I have some ideas/questions, but i am not sure if this would work and would really appreciate some advices. So thanks in advance :)

1. What Ascendancy?

My first thoughts were about a Fire, Burning, Damage over Time build as a Trickster. Since Trickster has good QoL, Damage over Time and Cyclone would cost no Mana.

On the other side an Elementalist could be also great for Elemental Damage, AoE and more damage with Ignites.

2. Life based or ES?

My first tree was life based (www.poeurl.com/cz40 - quick idea), but since there is a lot of ES / ES Leech around, CI could be a nice Option.

3. Items

Actually i am not sure which items to choose, maybe these could be a good start:

Thanks! (Again) :)

There are many options.

I would consider Chieftain ascendancy. It fits fire theme very well and has some nice features (life leech with fire, ash buff, ..).

If you want to use Infernal Mantle you can remove negative effect of "Increased spell damage taken" with BloodMagic allocated eventually.
I would prefer life version (easier to gear on SSF).

You need also to choose crit or no crit version.

Thanks for your reply!

Maybe i need to try some Versions in PoB.. Chieftain could also be interesting for a Totem while bossing...

Crit or no crit is really a good question since i have not much experience in DoT Builds

I have made a quick version of Chieftain (not finished, many gear is missing) you can take an inspiration from.
It would be quite tanky (if you add MS, fortify etc).
I would consider other body than SM though (BM is possible but you´re limited on 1 aura).

Nice, thanks!

I also made a tree as a Trickster, the damage is overall better, but i think this would be more a glascannon in blight maps and dying is no fun, even in SC.

I think i'll give it a try as a Chieftain.

Ok let us know how it´s going.
HF:)

E: You probably need to switch Infused channeling with Efficacy support (It seems IC doesn´t affect the channeled spell just Cyclone?).
I also think Fire storm is not the best skill to apply ignite (many small hits per sec but ignite is not stackable or limited).
The core of the build should be solid and you can experiment with different spells though:)
