Crashing on EVERY legion event.

Hi,
Every time I encounter a legion event my game crash. I can 'free' the mobs but when fighting them it suddenly crashes with a single word error message like "Present", "Map" or "ResourceShaderEx". A few seconds later "Path of exile64x is not responding". This is ONLY in legion encounters and I even tried not casting any abilities, simply running close to the mobs crashes the game. I tried the PackCheck with no errors. I'm running the non-steam version. Any clues on how to fix this? Not sure how to attach the DxDiag.
