Synthesis Memory Stabiliser not functional on decayed memory.

I was working my way through a path, when I took a wrong turn at a decaying memory. It was a T junction with one charge left, but I went to the exit that had no memories attached.

The Memory Stabiliser states "Interact to Place A Memory" but clicking it does nothing.

Additionally going into the void simply teleports me back to the stabiliser

Finally, I cannot user my portal skill (I think this is normal, but usually when you can't use portals a message pops up in chat log).
