Best builds/guides for a beginner to get into the endgame?

Hey all, I've played this game for a few hours at a time over the past few years but am really only getting deep into it now. This league was the first league that I was able to get to mapping, but I eventually got extremely lost with item crafting and getting the proper gear and all that. I really enjoyed what I was doing up until the point where I kinda just abandoned my character because even with some build guides, I wasn't really able to understand what stats to look for or how to search for the items that would work best for my build.

Basically what I'm saying is that I got super bogged down in the minmaxing of my build. Do any of you all recommend a good guide that really helps explain some of the harder/deeper mechanics of the game like item crafting or map sustaining? Also, what skill/build should I try out that would allow a beginner like me to get into some of the endgame content?
