Prezidento's DW Axe RT Cleave Duelist, 7 Auras, 21,5k DPS without conc effect

My Skill setup: 6L - Cleave + melee physical dmg + weapon ele dmg + added fire dmg + faster attacks + bm on 4L's Reduced mana + Blood Magic + Anger/Grace/Wrath (choose 2 on this 4L) Reduced mana + Bloog magic + Anger/Grace/Wrath + Blood rage (or any other skill u want to use) Blood magic + warlords mark + enfeeble + decoy totem 3L's Reduced mana + hatred + purity Reduced mana + determination + haste With high enough level reduced mana's and these 2 nodes i took you'll be able to run 7 auras, that reserves all mana and some hp (currently whole mana + 650 hp) It's important to use auras that reserve precise amount of mana/hp on BM (anger, wrath, grace), rest of them is to be run on mana. Normal 40 hp, cruel melee phy dmg, merc endurance charge/skill point (up to you, depending whether u use charges or not) Skill tree: Right now i've got 4,5k hp 21,5k, capped resists 83% (chaos -14% on merciless) Note: This is a psychical dmg build, so ele dmg based weapons deal much less dps, when choosing a weapon i suggest counting only psychical dmg ((min dmg + max dmg)/2 * APS) Gear advices: Well basically all of our gear should have HP also prefereably hp + strength, we also need some int from gear, as we're going to need it to cast leveled auras IGN: Prezidento Last edited by Prezidento#4650 on Apr 8, 2013, 7:00:19 PM

My DW Duelist build (link) is very similar except I don't go up to Templar for Divine Toughness and Discipline and Training, but I get the two Armor rings close to Duelist for 102% increased Armor and get a lot of 8% close by HP nodes.
Looking at our two different builds, mine has slightly more HP than yours (+5%) by staying near the Duelist area. I also get +102% Armor and 0.4% more %HP Regen, and +30% Fire Resist (+60% is unnecessary imo, I'm even considering dropping the +30% Fire in Marauder to save 1 skill point). Your build has 16% less physical damage (102% vs 118%) and 3% less attack speed, but has +50% Elemental Damage. The difference here is that you use Added Fire Damage and Weapon Elemental Damage (to improve Anger/Wrath/Added Fire), whereas (in my 5L) I use Life Gain on Hit with these. My gear isn't good enough to lose that LGoH and isn't a 6L, and I think this will actually be the case for most people looking at your build. So essentially my build is suited to someone with less gear while yours is a total end-game build showing high DPS. Out of interest, how do you survive without Life Gain on Hit/Life Leech? You only appear to have 2% on your neck plus 2% from the skill tree, which only apply to Physical damage where a lot of yours is Elemental. How do you survive with only 4% life leech? Also, one way to improve your build is to use the Malachai's Simula trick. Basically you always carry this helm with you, and when you die (I noticed you're SC) you simply put this helm on, cast Anger+Wrath+Grace, then take it off and cast your mana-based auras. This not only removes the need for both your Blood Magic gems for these flat-cast auras but also reduces their cost back down to 100% (from 197%). It basically allows you to run these 3 gems + reduced mana in one single 4L and saves the gems from an entire piece of gear. Another trick, with Reduced Mana + Auras, is that you can put the Reduced Mana gem into your gear, cast the other 3 auras, then put a red gem back in place of Reduced Mana and just cast that 1 aura and only that aura will cost the normal amount (the other 3 auras will stay with the reduced cost). I survive easily tbh, don't see any problem, i cast enfeeble which lowers the monster damage and in case i need more leech (never happened) i have warlord's mark or blood rage.
Well you definitely think your build matches mine, but believe me i had similar - it's nowhere near, first of all consider that you have very limited ways to spend the last point, and at the same time i still have fencing and some axe dmg nodes to pick, not to mention that i have tons of hp nodes that i can instantly pick (5x 8% 1x10% - simply need to level up) and even more that would waste 1 point to access them. I haven't picked any armour nodes because imo it's a crap, if i were you i'd simply reallocate those points into endurance charge points and use enduring cry (imo has better effect). Next thing (i assume u use cleave as well) the increased aoe node really makes a difference. (around 25% more real range (~500/400)). Really your comparision of our builds is very, and i mean VERY inaccurate, i have 30% increased buffs effect, which makes these 7 auras even more amazing. Well my comment could be a bit rude, but believe me, if i changed my build for the one you have if would basically nerf all aspects of my character. And btw. thanks for the malachai's advice - i think i have one in my stash. I actually don't worry about the gems slots because i can't think of any more gems that i could use, but 320~reduced hp instead of 650~ makes a huge difference. IGN: Prezidento
