syndicate disappearing

i was in a map with a fortification syndicate.
in said map there was a zana quest, which i swiftly went to do.
in zana map there was too a syndi fort, which i defeated, and once done with zana map i returned to main map, where i found the fort empty with no more monsters/members around.

main map was maze, sub map was port.
