Please don't let me start in laggy ass towns anymore, no reason I can't start there.

+1 Yeah, I would like this as well.
The only thing I can figure out why they do this is to try and keep the game from crashing even more. When loading into a town it does not have so many assets to load in when the game starts up. But say you have a hideout full of decorations. Loading directly into that might crash the game as the game itself has not been able to fully load in. Loading into the town gives the game a small window of time to catch up and then be able to load your hideout. Again this is only a guess, as I am not a programmer. | |
" Not a programmer either, but I can see where you are coming from. There are still alot of elements to load in (more so in some towns), but they are what I would consider static. They could even be grouped into a single larger element and easier to load. But adding in 8-12 other people that all have multiple character effects seems like it would be more of a strain to me. will never happen, reasoning was that each hideout is its own instance and town has several instances prepared so instead of thousands of one player created instances being generated constantly they just plop you into a premade one. makes sense. if town bothers you do what i do and always log out in act 7 town, no ones ever there and all the vendors you need (gems,currency exchange) are there
