Herald of Agony native poison chance not applying to spells

I noticed that herald of agony has not been applying poison for orb of storms or ball lightning at all; character sheet shows that it should have a chance to poison (the native 20%), but on the tooltip, it is not there, reflecting its use in game. This prevents the acquisition of virulence stacks without other sources of poison.

So far, the chance to poison has worked with Dark Pact, however. I do not know why--My two cents is that it seems to only apply the poison chance to spells that hit with chaos damage. (?)

Linking Lesser Poison *Does* give the spells a chance to poison, and therefore, generate virulence stacks. The tooltip shows only the 40%, but the character sheet shows that it has a 60%, the sum of HoA and Lesser Poison.

I have a screen shot with the discrepancy, but this is the first bug report I am submitting, as I can't find anything on it and am not sure if it has been brought up.

Poison can only be applied if the attack/spell deals Poison/Physical damage.
An exception to this rule is if you use a unique item such as Volkuur's Guidance: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Volkuur%27s_Guidance

And as an addendum to this bug, the mana reservation is off for Herald of Purity

Currently; HoA has a base mana reserve of 25%

I have it linked with
-Vile toxins (120%)
-Minion damage 130%)
-minion speed (140%)

These multipliers should bring the increase reservation up to 90% additional. This should calculate off base 25%. 90%*25%= 22.5. My total mana reservation at absolute worst should be only 47.5

However, it is 54%.

If i add arcane surge (110%), it increases the total mana reservation to 60%

I have no mana reservation alterations on the tree; and a single jewel which reduces reservation by 1%, which is more or less negligible.

Is this working as intended?

Yes. This explains it. I believe that acquiring a jewel or figuring out how to get some sort of phys damage added to my spells should actually solve the issue. Thanks!
Does the reservation decrease if you remove Spell Echo?

(I realize HoA reserves mana.)
I find it difficult to justify optional purchases to support a Tencent-owned development studio that declines to provide customers Technical Support, regardless of how many thousands of euros that customer has spent...

as a follow up; Yes: adding physical damage to spells does in fact allow it to apply the poison even without lesser poison, and it does not display a poison chance. Being socketed with lesser poison added chaos, and brought its chance to poison to a 60% as intended, even though it was only showing 40%.

No, it does not alter the mana reservation whatsoever :( it seems that it does not calculate that at all, though I am relatively sure that it does work with both the specters as well as the Crawlers vomit of death (as far as I can tell. I have to try and test it without any other minions and Vaal advocate specters make seeing things on the ground, or anything for that matter, really freaking difficult!)

I designed this build to be really tight, I expected to be able to use both the socketed herald and the envy aura. I looked on the wiki and in several threads, the consensus matched up to basic math to get the mana cost total: decimals are additive in multiplication. Maybe reservations are a bit different, or there is rounding up that I am not aware of.

that’s not how mana multipliers work. 25 * 1.2 * 1.3 * 1.4 = 54.6

I figured that out. Thanks for the reply. Changed four nodes and everything works fine. I pathed for the possibility that I was wrong.
