account got reset

hi everyone.
Yesterday i linked my account steam account to this account and somehow today when i logged in as usual my account seemed to reset as if i never played this game before. can anyone tell me what happened and how to fix it? Last bumped on Oct 19, 2018, 10:59:44 AM

yeah...you did't link your steam account to the stand alone.
What you did was create a new stand alone account and linked it to steam (the linking process is only for stand alone account to link to steam) Fortunately for you it's something GGG can fix. Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

Hiya,
You should be able to add an email address to your Steam-linked Path of Exile account by logging in to the Path of Exile website using the 'Sign in through Steam' option. Yeah i guess i figured im supposed to create an account first before i link it to steam - a bit confusing tbh.
