I believe this is caused by unreleased Essence monsters. If you make sure to release all Essence monsters before talking to Fairgraves, it should work. This will be fixed soon.

Had the same problem with a Zana mission as well. I clicked on Fairgraves and he vanished with nothing spawning 0 monsters remaining

Hey, wanted to make sure I let you guys know that I've successfully completed a Mao Kun Zana mission on the character and league where it was previously failing. Thanks for the fix!
