What's up with betas in the Metal community?

Thanks for your answers, guys. I do like that equanimity.

Concept album? What's the concept?

The emotional angle brings to mind the old talking about music is like dancing about architecture :)

Listening to Six Degrees now for the first time, and "Misunderstood" ... playing that track through again. Just so powerful.
Indeed. The music's great and kudos to them attempting the theme. I'd like the bipolar one to be urgent, and a lot faster but I guess it's about an overall commentary rather than capturing her manic state. Still, I'm not sure it really works the way the other tracks do.

all the best people are.

It's new to me! Fair call though, maybe that's a reaction to all the mainstream stuff out there. The thicc guitars are banding together?

the list options up the top..

Oh hai bois, i thought it was too early to end such a grand topic. Despite frequent resurrections it seems be be falling on hard times.

As per the topic let me go back on track - maybe these things i am about to show you can enlighten those who are still finding it hard to see.

I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.
I watched both of the videos before, screamin doesnt take talent is really good one, laughed a lot too.

and for the women one, i'd title it women react to metal and core music, rather than extreme metal
Spreading salt since 2006
Yeah, screaming really doesn't need that much skill... if you well and truly want to fuck up your vocal cords by doing it and/or if you want it to sound like absolute crap that is.
Also, did you just see the video title and thought "Hey, that sounds awesome to make a point against metal"? Because honestly, the video is anything BUT that.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
Actually they just illustrate 1, the general reaction to metal by people who don't know metal from the "normal" society. And the second video illustrates how clearly the stereotypes fit. It is ideal for that purpose because it comes from the community itself, and is all for it. Yet inside you find all the matching stereotypes that were rejected with strong emotional responses inside this very thread.

I have presented you an outside look at metal, to see that the stereotyping often fits - i hope that it can lead you to understand that people are just people and you can't blame them for acting normally, it will never serve you in life because you can't change people and even if you could there is a continuous inflow of fresh tabula rasas. Maybe it can serve you temporarily if your self-confidence is low enough.

All in all, this is an ideal breeding ground. People in denial, with strong need to reject the obvious. Doesn't get much better. I might have used too powerful means though, but man that was
I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.
