No Sound Driver Detected Error

I have recently been battling a sound issue on my laptop and finally managed to fix it today. Now I have a new issue being that upon opening Path of Exile I do not get any sound. This appears to be due to an error "No sound driver detected" that can be seen on the options "Sound" tab.

I have restarted my computer. I have reinstalled my sound drivers. I have verified that all the sound drivers are up to date. I have reinstalled Path of Exile. I have re-opened Path of Exile multiple times. I have used the "Run as Administrator" option. I have also used the -swa and --softwareaudio command line options.

At this point I have not seen any other solutions to this on the forums and am now at a loss on how to get Path of Exile to recognize that my sound drivers are present. I have no sound issues with any other program.

Just curious, dont you use by any chance MSI notebook? Because turning off Nahimic 2 (audio software from MSI) worked for my friend so far.

Thanks for the info, but no that doesn't apply. I'm using an Alienware 17 R5.

And isnt there anything similar? Some vendor software between soundcard and drivers?
Its RealTek, but thats basically standard.

Closing nahimic 2 on a MSI notebook fixed it for me! Thanks a lot guys
