Death Penalty...

So, I'd like you to be able to de-level. I think it makes sense. You'd lose the last point you allocated on your Tree, and viola.

Also, the Death Penalty could be increased. Dramatically.

Yeah, it makes sense. Maybe your character could also become older, so after a weeks play it would start losing slowly strength, dex and int permanently. After two weeks of gameplay it could no longer lift its sword. Thereafter only two-handed staffs were allowed on hand slot.

After three weeks it'd suffer a massive heart failure due to too much stressful life, and dropped dead permanently.

Sure, but i have played games where your character becomes older whether you're online or not, eventually dying of old age. Would you like that system in PoE?

Essentially it'd remove standard as a game mode. You can make this game just as non-casual as ever they want. Whether forcing everyone to play such a system is a good idea -well, some people seem to think PoE is 'too casual' and requires more 'prestige' for their liking.

You see, PoE players are a strange lot. They simultaneously bitch about gated content, unbearable leveling, ludicrous grind and in-game-punishment, and at the same time are suggesting more of those imposed on them. Not sure whether OP was being serious or not, thou. Personally I'm playing for casual purposes only, but I actually like unlocking content in games I do play.

And it should also be accompanied by "balance". I was always in favor of a more harsh death EXP penalty to discourage zerging and an interlink between the difficulty of run content and EXP gained. Unfortunately TencentGGG doesn't want a new game mode in between the "hardcore" and the regular "softcore"...

Just imagine the QQ of casuals and regular players alike, used to "level 100 mode" every level up...

Nah, I wouldn't qq. I'd just move on to other games.

Blizzard could similarly introduce players losing their cards in lost Hearthstone games, which in turn would turn all players with any collector mentality to other games. Not sure thou, why they'd want to do such thing.

No the game should be rewarding, balanced, without bugs and challenging.
If you find that game isnt hard for you then use your brains and make it hard for yourself, [Removed by Support]

Here are a good example for you, try so called ironman playstyle, it means you wear only grey items.

Also dont fill all gear slots and play so. You have tons of options [Removed by Support]
