Map Tier Distribution per League

Before each league, all map tiers will be rerolled to have a fresh mapping experience.

How it works:

Before the league starts GGG either annouces the new map tiers or has a lottery live stream where the map tiers will be drawn.

The tier location will remain unchanged, thus you always have the same progression towards the centre of the atlas.
For example, you could have a tier 1 core map in the place where beach is at the moment.

Shaper guardians and Shaper remain unchanged

Each map slot has a side slot for a unique map, unique map drop rate is effected by it's current tier.

Atlas specific drops remain in their current location on the atlas, for example if dunes would take the slot of the current core map, you would be able to drop marble amulets there.

On map balance: some maps would need a check on how it feels on the atlas, for example, having a tier 13 strand map would be ok if the exp per hour would align with other maps even if it means to reduce the packsize.
