" oh yeah its gtx 1080TI OC with 11gb of Vram |

Definitely something odd going on; looks like I'm getting higher and more stable FPS with lower specs across the board.
Which version of DirectX are you running, I wonder? | |
your frame latency seems to be the source.
There isn't to much you can do about this other than cap settings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2-2rwsZ2kSg Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

DirectX 11
Cap settings on a computer that can run ultra settings on Doom and another game in background without stutter for what reason ? I would like a genuine response from technical support although I am not writing a suggestion for another MTX i would like to spend my money on. |

" I won't bother waxing lyrical about the human eye, nor write a treatise on PC monitor behavior: suffice to say if you do not limit frame rate to match PC/Monitor specs within reason, you are likely to encounter screen tearing and without doubt waste cash and shorten GPU life by virtue of the excessive heat generated. Google about a little and you will quickly see why. From the image you posted however, I see regular major latency spikes, more often than not this is an issue with some part of net infrastructure along the route. I would run some traceroutes and eliminate potential issues and perhaps speak to your provider if this is an issue. OCEANIC EXILES https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/581434

" U should ask first before making conclusions, ASUS ROG PG 279Q with Gsync is the monitor. Regarding the latency i never even mentioned it in my rant why u writing about that ? limiting the settings wont POE stop from bringing my FPS to zero with this setup but ill try contacting NVidia aswell i wonder what they will say Last edited by JohnIrenicus on May 16, 2018, 4:34:04 PM

You posted a screenshot, and if you bother to watch carefully next time you are in-game, high latency will correlate to loss of fps, in other words a burst of high latency will show a usually simultaneous drop in fps.
The reason we limit framerates in games (to match monitor/gpu specs) is so we do not cause excessive heat generation. For example in a game like Fallout, a GPU may work 500% more than in required during logo screen hehe, not to mention the issues with screen tearing. Feel free to do whatever you like.
