Latency spikes

Hello,
I'm having some latency issues. I only started on this league today so I have no recent latency comparison to make.

The latency issues are somewhat severe on all EU servers, bordering on unplayable (Haven't tried Milan or Moscow). It's playable on the Washington server, but it isn't a pleasant experience.

I'm using wireless and don't have another device here to test on.

The first two traces show packet loss on your home network, as well as every following hop. The second two show loss between your modem and your ISP, and every following hop.

If you are confident your home network connection is working well - eg, you are not getting too busy a wireless link, rebooted the wifi access point, etc - then I'd start with talking to your ISP about the issue.
Thanks for the response.
Oddly it seams to only be an issue during night-time. Seeing as when I played this weekend on the afternoons it worked flawlessly, but after around 23.00 it goes to shit.

It also seams to effect other games then Path of Exile, but not regular browsing and streams. Looks like I might have to talk to my ISP.

Thanks again for the help SlippyCheeze!

FWIW, it will also be hitting streaming video, and regular browsing, but ... you just don't notice. Like, the buffer will get a bit emptier, but the reason streaming video buffers is so you don't notice those brief interruptions.

Sadly, we can't just buffer up ten seconds of gameplay in PoE ahead of time, so we notice it there. (and, of course, other games to a greater or lesser degree, depending how well they handle the delay.)

Huh, you learn something new everyday. Thanks for the information!
