ascendancy trials in maps

Maps upon maps without trials....I decide to invest currency into 6 'dream trial' prophecy....ALL of them were trials of LINGERING PAIN. It is statistically extremely unlikely. Something is broken and preventing me from enjoying the game as much as I should

I did my 5th out of the 6 needed today - and I found it doing zana's daily a short ways past the master I had to help to complete her mission.

Given that I currently have 9 or 10 offerings, I have had several repeats. If I ignored yellows like I did in D2, I'm sure I would have already unlocked uber (from running more maps faster).

Idle in global 820 chat, usually you'll find someone who offers trial runs. Do your part and offer other people the chance to join your party when a trial comes up too, maybe you'll get tips!

If I join advertised as solved will I get credit for just going to the map or will I still have to solve it as well? Sorry ran them all last season, not really looking forward to it this time.

Only one in 46,656 there - 6^6 is the number of combinations, and obviously only one of those is all lingering pains. So, the odds are small, but not outside the realm of statistical possibility.

That said, it could be true that something is wrong. You could email GGG support and ask them to look into this, in case it is broken. Again, while it isn't outside the realm of possibility that random chance got you that result, it is pretty unlikely, so ... *shrug*

I'd imagine that what the OP found statistically unlikely was that they were all the same, not that they were all Lingering Pain in particular. The chance of all 6 being the same is only 1 in 6^5, or 1 in 7776.

You are quite correct, I'm sure they would have found it the same puzzlement if it was a different one. Thanks! It's easy to forget to ask "have I defined the terms correctly" when looking at the odds of something. :)
