Softcore players probably know that his slam is telegraphed by a 360 splash/spell THEN he teleports to slam you. Well atleast you aren't hardcore anymore :P

The Elder has a slam? The couple-odd times I've fought him the closest there was to a slam was that big, slow expanding murder field, and so far as I've been able to tell you just stay inside the initial ring and you take no damage.
I haven't managed to trip him in red maps yet; is the slam exclusive to high-tier map Elder fights? Frankly I've just stood in his face and hurled balls until such time as it's time to protect the Shaper (at which point I am super glad I'm an Inquisitor and can heal the bastiche with constant Cons. Ground). The hardest part of that fight is stopping the friggin' tsunami flood of critters from potshotting the Shaper while waiting for him to finish his shit. |
