Im going with this shield. 2c. Even if your frozen after hitting a box, just cast and your no longer frozen, they are. Works with all elemental ailgments. Dots are cleared by an attk.

"Shared suffering" is amazing

So basically, you can only transfer ignite, shock and chilled.

but the question can u transfer freeze?

cos it qoute "All damage from hits",

so it means you dont have to be the one that inflict the hits?
(eg minions,trap,totem,heralds?)

Here is my interpretation, note that I do not have the item and cannot test any of this myself so I might be wrong:

"
All Damage from Hits will cause Elemental Ailments you are suffering.

This should work with totems, traps, or mines. So if a totem/trap/mine hits an enemy, and you are currently Frozen, the enemy will get Frozen too.

It will not work with minions since minions' hits are not your hits.

I do not know if the magnitude of the inflicted ailment is based on the magnitude of the ailment you are currently suffering or on the amount of damage you deal with the Hit; in the latter case this wouldn't work with Ancestral Bond.

"
Elemental Ailments you inflict are removed from you

This requites you specifically to inflict an ailment. Thus it will not work with any proxies. (Or with shocked/chilled/burning ground created by your skills.)

However it is still possible to unfreeze yourself with this, as long as you got frozen after you used a skill. (Let's say you launch a Frostbolt, then you get frozen, and then the Frostbolt impacts an enemy and freezes them - this will unfreeze you.)

[Edit] Or, of course, if being Frozen does not actually prevent you from taking actions; such as with an Acceleration Shrine or the Unstoppable passive or Kaom's Roots. But I don't think this interaction is what you were talking about.

hmm

yah almost forgot about those slower projectile hitting after u been hit 1st.

i think using one word "transfer" would be in-correct. Else GGG would have done so.

its probably 2 seperated mod.

"Elemental Ailments you inflict are removed from you"
refers to your hits.

while the 1st might not... unless someone test it out

No. RF, on both ends, is a DoT. DoTs do not hit, and therefore do not cause ailments.

You're also not ignited by RF's degen, even though dousing flasks turn RF off.

To OP: keep in mind that you still have to hit the enemy to "transfer" your ailments. If you're frozen, you cannot cast spells/use attacks until you unfreeze. So it wouldn't work quite as well as you think. If you could cast while frozen, it would.

All you need is glove enchant. That way if anything hits you, you are automatically unfrozen.
That said, this only works for elemental ailments, which bleed and poisoned are not.

Maybe not anymore, but pre-Elder/Shaper mods this thing has potential to have more block than any other shield, while still being a weapon, meaning you get these juicy dual wield bonuses.

Its nice, high armour some life and the ele shield is kinda fun.
Best thing is you can get lvl 28 gems or even lvl 30 wiht a + 1 corruption.

My necro always had problems getting some base armour, now im using Molten Shell + Empower with this Shield, together with the Molten Shell 150% Buff effect entchantment it gives me 5000 base armour and my Stone Golem now gives 150 life regen, so thats cool i guess.

Only if the glove enchant does cold damage and succeeds in freezing an enemy. Ailments aren't just transferred by any old hits, they have to be hits that also cause that ailment.

OP as fuck.

@sainthazard No. All your hit damage causes elemental ailments you are suffering. You simply need to do enough damage in single hit to proc them, which is VERY low for all of the ailments nowadays, freeze included (5% of max hp in single hit for freeze - glove enchants do far more damage to monsters than that). That said, I'm unsure if you even have to actually hit the minimum duration.

This consistently gets overshadowed by Atziri's Disfavour, when it reality it is an excellent endgame weapon that offers great utility in the corpse removal, and some survivability.
