Twitch helm giveaway question

If this is the wrong forum, I apologize.
I like to play PoE while I have various twitch streams minimized in the background, but I enjoy listening to the streamers. I have a good 12 hours of poe streams listened to like this, but I haven't received any message for the helm yet. I believe they said it only takes 8 hours. Help? On average, it takes eight hours. However, being an average, it can take more or less time than that. There's no Vorici around to guarantee this dice roll, sorry :p Took me more than eight as well, but not by quite as much.

Do I have to have the window open for 8 hours or can it be minimized and I'm just listening to the streamer in the backround?
