Cosmetic: Paint System for Gear

Everyone agrees with the OP, obviously. No one will disagree with this. I am kind of put off by the silliness and the just-plain-wrongness of the second post. Path of Exile, while original, is MADE of borrowed ideas. The map system is a retooling of Torchlight 1's system, itemized and improved in every way. Many of the game's formulas and mechanics borrow from D2. Others have said the game seems more influenced by Titan Quest. This is a game in a genre where you SHOULD borrow ideas.

Furthermore, GGG has already stated in a list during closed beta the kind of things that we can expect to appear as microtransactions. One of those things was item dyes, so there you go.

TL;DR Path of Exile is a great game because it blends originality with borrowed ideas. The second poster is wrong. Also, the devs are already working on item dyes.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't here for closed so that's good to hear.
