I got price fixed bad ; ( new player warning

New player only been playing a couple weeks I got a 6 link 6 red armor chest piece drop last week
used the poe trade price helper and it said avg price was 300 c I looked them up on poe trade and there were 5 for sale around 50 or so C so i put it up for sale obv instant sold it.

Just looked up same item they are all selling for 500 chaos plus.... think ima be sick.. never again warning to all new players. make sure you don't fall to my fate . rip 450 chaos

You didn't get "price fixed". You sold an item and got what you asked for it. Instead of blaming it on someone else that you could have sold it for more, you should be learning why it was worth more than what you sold it for... but fine. Blame someone else for your mistake. Typical.

The fact he's referring to it only as "6 link 6 red armor chest" shows just how little he knows about the end game and item's value. The game really doesn't help much for that and already the fact that he checked poe.trade for it makes him ahead of several thousands of other noobs. You can be informative without being condescending.

Yes their was one corrupted but also like 5 non corrupted ones for sale I diden't know about the price fixing thing then and compared it to those.. whats funny is I even message one of the guys and he said it was crap only worth 15 C probly... then as soon as I put it on there for 50 I got a instant offer.

Also it had no rolls it was a common but it was the same type that is selling for 500 600 c now when crafted to a rare

No one is price fixing 6L rare armors. No one. You're really not understanding the situation at all.

It's not easy for new players to price items in PoE. All those price fixing and loads to know about what is good and what is shite drop.. It'll take a bit of time to learn what to look on... I did drop kaom's once I got to maps very 1st time and sold it to vendor in my hideout cos did check poe.trade and there was some alt price on it. LOL.. Didn't drop it again since...

I doubt any armor you had drop was worth 500c+ honestly. If it was a 6red armor, most likely an armor base if not corrupted. Most likely not the top base either. 50c was probably not even a bad deal for you. You are probably are comparing your 6l to well rolled rares that go for alot more.

well be happy mate, you didnt rly get price fixed and you probably got about what the item was worth. Do you remember what the base item was?

the mistake ur probably making is searching for 6 linked red sockets, the socket colours dont matter, just the base item. Ppl who want armour are usually happy with either pure armour or armour + evasion hybrid pieces as they can roll a lot of red sockets. Virtually no one wants 6 red sockets, if anything its usually 5 red + 1 green, 4 red + 1 green + 1 blue etc. They dont care what the piece has, they will just use a handful of chromatic orbs to roll the colours they want. I can get a hybrid ar+ev 6L that needs rolled for 30-40 chaos in harbinger right now, you can get pure armour ones for about the same if you are willing to wait 24 hours for the guy to come online.

Dont feel bad mate, it would never have sold for 500c, it probably instantly sold cause it was one of the cheapest online and the guy that got it didnt want to wait a day til someone cheaper came online. Maybe you could have got 60c, but given you can buy chains that bind cards for like 3c each and 11 of them trade in for a 6L armour thats probably a better ilvl than the one you found someone would have to be insane to pay anywhere near 500c.
