Prophecy system changed for worst?


What the hell would a character level 93 do in tier 1 maps?! I don't know but do even HC and/or SSF have a use for this? (and if they do MAKE IT SPAWN STRICTLY for those leagues, obviously, sorry if it feels like i'm just changing the trash out of place instead of disposing of it, i really have no idea).



I'm getting seriously outraged with the current prophecy system which was already very flawed and now changed for worst.


There are even more backtracking prophecies which spawn when the character is level 80+; plus the council prophecies require the player to go back to areas with level 30 or so, plus the lots of shitty unique prophecies that sell for 1 alchemy IN THE FIRST DAY of league, plus many others.

Kuduku and kadaka prophecy used to spawn on a lvl 56 Ledge and now it's level 6. I kinda liked the 3 fus but now it's even more stupid. Why in the hell a character would go to a level 6 area after completing ACT ONE (or even worst, after reaching MAPS, completing the eternal labyrinth, etc).

This must change, after a character reaches ENDGAME (MAPS) WHY. THE. FUCK. DO. PROPHECIES. FOR. LOW. LEVEL. CONTENT. SPAWN.???

A prophecy that makes AN ORB OF ALCHEMY DROP when you kill an evangelist?! The orb of scouring was bad enough, but at least it could proc from ANY rare mob.

A nice change would be making those prophecies be forced to proc, after, i don't know, 10 maps, forcing the next map to spawn the rare mob required to kill in order for it's fulfilment.
Finally, the fated prophecies feel really even more out of place with merciless gone, if only we could increase the area level somehow?


Seriously, just remove this ridiculousness from the game and get it togheter for a later patch.

And this is serious positive feedback; if you people reading this can understand, because i love this game, and i'm just awed that such a shitty mechanic exists in here, totally out of place with the rest of the beauty of it, then it even got worst in this patch.


//edit: when i have time i will make a compilation of the prophecies i like a lot and the ones that are beyond stupid/useless/retarded (will actually separate in those categories =)))

because they are no different from all other items, like trans shards and low base white 1-socket items?
And worst change is putting almost all bosses in new version of maps into fucking small areas, where you can't kite well or dodge stuff. What a terrible idiot invented that I want say to him: dude flick you, seriously flick you very much.
Yep, killing Kuduku on a lvl 90 for the fourth time is fun.....

They should really change what prophecies high level characters can get, especially now that the three difficulty system is gone (not that killing merciless kuduku on a 90 was any more engaging).

Who knows, maybe a revamp of the prophecies system is in the works already.

Except that they ARE different, prophecies are character level bound.

Go read an ancient engraving for 15 wisdoms. and by read I mean walk into the coast and accidentally waste a good prophecy on a lvl 2 zone and click on the engraving twice to skip the text and pick up none of the wisdoms and port home
Yeah, it definitely got worse in 3.0, there's a lot of prophecies that keep coming up at high level that didn't before. It's a massive waste of silver coins that also forces players to either waste more coins or spend time doing non-map activities in order to get rid of them... which is exactly what GGG said they wanted eliminate when prophecy was added into the core game. Pretty unhappy with the way they've changed them around.

From my last 30 silver coins I think I got "go kill Doedre in Western Forest" like 10 times. Prophecies right now upset me more than anything. It's as if all the good ones are super ultra rare. Haven't gotten a single one for any chains yet.
The vast majority of prophecy's I receive should enrich my mapping experience.

Right now its brick your entire prophecy tab with low-level prophecies and trigger any good ones (that you wanted in maps) whilst travelling through low level zones.

I think the prophecy system needs a complete rework. Prophecy's received from hideout should almost exclusively relate to map-content.
