Mind over Matter on a RF?

Would a MOM make sense to run on a RF Jugg?

For pure RF not, because the more life you have the more investment you need in mana to not get drained completely.

If you just want to use RF to give you moar dmg to something like SR, then it depends on a lot other stuff.

You can just stack endurance charges with the fated kaom rings and then you can have 10 charges if your belt is corrupted, that is 9% regen (0.8% per charge from rings 0.2% from the node next to one of the endurance charges) and you also get 8% reduced eledmg taken when you are at max charges, which also helps sustaining it.

Juggernaut is probably the easiest thing to sustain RF on out of all ascendancies.

Nope.

I'm running it on a heirophant but really there isn't a great deal of point, essentially I swap a chunk of life for a chunk of ES and the missing regen is compensated for by the mana regen.

It works and is very comparable to a chieftain or jugg but its definitely worse than a zerker sadly and much harder to gear for.
So i made a rf mom templar for my scorching ray build . and my honest opinion is . do not use mom with rf.

it is ehp that doesn't contribute much to your dps. more importantly it is very easy to get hit by something like a poison bleed or burn that keeps your mana flatline while under rf

rf with a 6k hp build will easily eat away 200+ mana persecond as a base line. my mana persecond with 2300 mana clarity and 245% increased mana regen is .. around 200.

So quite literally anything will cause you to lose your mana and not regen it back.

you could go eb i suppose but ep is so far out of the way of anything that you might as well do low life rf or pure life rf at that point

and templar is actually good for mom. i cant fathom how bad it will be for maurder

mom is a budget solution to getting to 8k effective hp. nothing more , nothing less.

You can use MoM with RF if RF is your main damage source. You just have to specialize your items for this kind of gameplay.

It is more about toggling RF, its more work to use RF with ES and MoM.
I did a Kitava test with RF and if you can regen your Mana/Healh/ES, its quite fine, but, as said, you need more management and you have to know the fight you engage to know the timing for you flasks.

With 3.0 and Pantheon, you can regen up to 3 charges per 3 seconds for each Life Flask.

Kitava RF Test

Only my ES feels a bit obsolete here since i cant regen enough for my ES.

Got 79 templar RF MoM with SR. 2x aura (hp regen + mana). If you take MoM you need invest into mana. Now lvl 79 with 4,5k hp and 1k shield BUT my RF burn full shield sooo... only 4,5k life (some item to change). It's hard to play as MoM RF, if you need RF easy go like ppl say full life str ob marauder but if you need some challenge go RF MoM but not realy as marauder :)
On map t9 i got little problem with final boss. Today try 2 map with chicken bow boss and totem ice nova and can tell you "first and last time on t9+ map with this boss". Adds die fast and got fast map clear just charge, SR and another pack, don't need wait for pack die becaus SR=burning and ofc taunt totem on boss for easy play (some boss kill them on 1-2 hit) or you will die :)

If you are smart enough, you'll figure out the advantages of using MoM without any investment into mana or mana regen nodes. The tradeoff is that you need to use socket Blood Magic gem with on any self-cast skills that you're using.
Even if your mana is zeroed out, the mana regen is still contributing to your life regen. Quick Recovery is good because it contributes to both life and mana, and it's right beside MoM. But yeah, once it runs out you can't use skills , so you need some serious recovery. Juggernaut doesn't get any mana freebies, so it's hard to use. But yeah, blood magic :)

After seeing Pohx's video, I used MoM with a Trickster RF character with zero cost Cyclone (Walk the Aether) and mana recovery (Weave the Arcane). No super damage, but with 6.5k life I rarely felt threatened. With other builds, I was always on the edge with life regen. Any big hit and you are slow to recover. With a Trickster, between Patient Reaper and MoM, I was always able to keep my life near/at max, and any life/mana flasks helped with recovery.

I kinda got bored with RF though...
