Volkuur's Guidance, why not just damage?

Fire Skills have 20% chance to Poison on Hit.
Fire. Skills...

Oro Flicker Strike poison? Nope.
Ngamahu's Flame Cyclone poison? Nope.

Just why not make any fire damage poison?

Even if it worked like that, you're lucky to get a 5% damage boost out of those gloves, since most of your support gems wouldn't scale the poison. Just check it in path of building with a skill like molten strike or ice crash, and you'll see what I mean.

It's almost like the goal of last DoT rework was to make Poison less of a free Damage source, huh.

Due to the Poison being inflicted through Fire Damage, it scales with Fire Damage modifiers. Hint:
this change was not a nerf (and hey, that's one reason to limit to Fire Skills instead of Damage!).
