Shotgun question

Since the shotgun nerf, does minefield and multiple traps shotgun anymore? where can I find a comprehensive list of what shotguns and what doesn't?

AoE damage always can overlap and it has always worked like that.

with multiple traps/mines each trap/mine is different entity so it is not "shotgunning".

'Shotgunning' refers to one single one-frame instance of a skill. Any skill that fires multiple projectiles at the exact same time is subject to shotgunning

GMP Freezing Pulse, for example, fires five projectiles in the same frame from the exact same start point; those projectiles are subject to shotgunning code. You can think of it as the game treating them all as the same projectile - the same projectile can't hit one thing more than once.

Barrage fires multiple projectiles, but not at the same time. Rapid sequential fire is not subject to shotgunning code - they're different projectiles and can do whatever they like. This is why Barrage with a billion extra projectiles is busted as hell.

Traps are similar to Barrage - they don't trigger at the same time, and even if they happened to do so, they're independent skill usages once set. Traps can shotgun because every trap uses its own individual skill. All those skills are copied from the same source, but the skills the trap actually uses are each their own distinct instance.

Not that this makes trappers any good, mind!
