sweep range

With a lvl 20 sweep and inc aoe, is the range satisfying? I want to try something like this: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1382496. At least, with the gloves, not really any of the other items. I don't want to stun anything or stack defenses with stuff like lightning coil because I want to proc the savage hits zerker buff as much as possible. At least, that's the idea atm, not sure how it'll work out in practice.
