Gloom Wings Effect taking Least Priority

Hello,

The Gloom Wings Effect that I have on my character seems to take the least priority over all other effects. Meaning that people standing behind me with other effects shows over top of my wings. Given the game has a certain Depth to it, this seems very weird as someone with boots that have an effect on them are showing through over top of my wings. I've attached some screenshots below.
