Question about ICE CRASH dmg done
Hi Community!
Got several questions about how the dmg is calculated done by Ice Crash. Ice Crash is: Attack, Melee, AoE, Cold. 50% of phys dmg is converted to cold. Got some Jewels in my Tree and I wonder how exactly the DMG is pushed by em. examples to help me understanding the math: 1) Jewel: 10% increased physical dmg while holding a shield. ~100 physical dmg + 10 by jewel 110 phys dmg 55 Phys dmg 55 cold dmg right? 2) jewel: 10% increased dmg ~100 physical dmg + 10 by jewel 110 phy dmg 55 Phys dmg 55 cold dmg right? or does the jewel extra enhacing the cold dmg after conversion? (55 cold dmg + 5,5) 3) jewel: 10% increased dmg does this jewel increase the extra cold dmg done by things like: ring: adds 10-20 cold dmg to attack (-> +1-2 dmg) wrath: adds 10-100 lightning dmg to attack (-> +1-10dmg) 4) does the jewel increase the extra dmg done by hatred aura? -> extra dmg from wrath is calculated before phys to lightning conversion jewel: 10% increased dmg 100 phy dmg + 10 110 phys dmg + 30% extra cold dmg -> 110 phys dmg + 33,3 cold dmg so in the end: 55 phys dmg, 55 cold dmg + 33,3 extra cold or 55 phys dmg, 55 cold dmg (+5,5dmg by jewel) + 33,3 (+3,33dmg by jewel) extra cold thanks for your help! i hope u understood:) Last bumped on Jun 29, 2017, 4:15:30 PM

some more example to help me get the clue out, 1) jewel: +10%dmg of area of effect ring: faltroll 1-100 cold dmg i attack with ice crash and the flatroll is applied to attack, 100dmg+10 55phys 55cold 1-100 cold (by ring) + 10% (jewel) -> 1,1-110 cold done by ring. or is it just applied and only profits by things like wpn ele dmg or increased cold dmg for example? i refer to this thing since for example abyssus adds phy dmg to attacks and does profit from things like IaoE 2) jewel: +10%dmg of area of effect 100dmg+10 55phys 55cold hatred aura 33 extra cold (110 phys) -> since hatred aura does its cold dmg by aoe of ice crash is it also enhance by jewel? -> 36,3 extra cold dmg? (so hatred would be pushed by any support in the main attack) edit: i just saw in last support post thats this obviously wrong. so hatred is just calculated by phys dmg from attack. can is be pushed by things like: +xxx% cold dmg? thanks again! now im wiser:) Last edited by THeRoCK2 on Jun 29, 2017, 2:23:51 PM

Conversion happens before any increases. But it is still affected by increases to which it was converted from (added as always uses pre conversion values)
100 phys damage 100 flat cold damage 30% hatred 20% increased phys 30% increased cold Step 1 conversion >hatred > 30 converted cold >50 phys >50 converted cold >100 flat cold Step 2 increases 50phys * (1+0,2) = 60 physical Converted cold 80*(1+0.2+0.3)= 140 Flat cold 100*(1+0.3)=130 Total damage =60phys and 270 cold damage Ign: LavaMosse
