Other game recommendations - similar to Path of Exile

As title states - anyone playing something current or recently that they can recommend?

I've been trying the PoE beta, and it just feels more like work and less like a game.
My instinct says every major patch iteration the GGG team is focused more heavily on the ladder race and everything else in game balance is collateral damage. I don't think any items/skill gems or minor tweaking will fix this. I still have 8% hope that the final released version could be enjoyable, so I'd rather find another game to play while the GGG team works on 3.0, then give it a second chance once it is done. Grim Dawn, nuff said.
Been playing the lights out of it this month and partially last month. I might take a break soon, so I do not feel burned out from it when the expansion arrives (I will lol if GD's xpac comes out the same month with FoO xpac), and I can play more of it. Play D2 with mod Median XL. New game with old graphics (if you can take that, some cannot, hell, I'm one that usually can't go back).

If we assume that PoE is similar to MTG then I recommend Gwent. 30 hours in and I'm still having a blast. It's also nothing like Hearthstone/Shadowverse.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.

" Definitely not ARPG burnout, I haven't been playing all that much lately due to RL. I like a lot of the new content and many of the new monsters and bosses offer new and different challenges, which is also good stuff. As for what's been mentioned before, I will start looking through previous threads. I didn't really pay much attention to them before, because what little game time I had available the last year or so has been exclusively taken up by PoE. There is a game on Steam called Victor Vran (it WAS on sale) which is also an ARPG like PoE...But I would say Grim Dawn is a safe game to go to if you want one with a lot of good story and gameplay!
