Animate Guardian and cosmetic microtransactions: Do they work together?

Hey there,
I was just wondering if cosmetic microtransactions, applied to weapons and armor then dropped on the ground, can be animated? Or can you not drop an item that has a cosmetic effect applied? Just wondering. Thanks! Last bumped on May 18, 2017, 6:35:05 AM

Another item I'm wondering: if I enchant an item and drop it on the ground, will the enchantment work on the Animated Guardian? (eg effects on hit, etc)

aww, that would be an awesome way to make an Animated Guardian look cool. Imagine the Deicide pack on one! :D

Wait, so would Commandment of Reflection create a minion that's a copy of the animated guardian or of my character?

An animated guardian cannot use any skills, this includes triggered skills.

Yup, glove enchants won't work.
Item effects can also get a bit iffy on him, for instance, if you equip him with Cloak of Flames it will keep the burning effect but look like a normal scholar's mantle. Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.
